What “Lifetime Access” Means

When you purchase a Cuimhne Code QR memorial plaque, your purchase includes lifetime access to the Cuimhne Code memorial service — allowing you to create, manage, and share a digital memorial linked to your plaque.

“Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the Cuimhne Code service, not the lifetime of an individual, device, or the internet itself.

We are committed to operating Cuimhne Code responsibly and for the long term, but no digital service can be guaranteed indefinitely.

If Cuimhne Code Stops Operating

In the unlikely event that Cuimhne Code permanently ceases trading or shuts down the service, the following will apply:

  • Memorial pages may no longer be accessible online

  • QR codes linked to plaques may stop resolving to memorial pages

  • Hosting, storage, and ongoing digital services would end

By purchasing a Cuimhne Code plaque, you acknowledge and accept this possibility.

Our Commitment to Users

If Cuimhne Code ever plans to shut down permanently, we will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Provide advance notice where possible

  • Allow users to download or export their memorial content (text and media)

  • Act with care, respect, and transparency

However, we cannot guarantee indefinite hosting, nor are we liable for loss of access caused by business closure, insolvency, or circumstances beyond our control.

No Ongoing Fees

Cuimhne Code operates on a one-time purchase model:

  • No subscriptions

  • No recurring fees

  • No renewal charges

Your payment covers access for as long as the Cuimhne Code service remains operational.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Cuimhne Code is not liable for service interruption, data loss, or QR code inaccessibility resulting from business closure

  • Lifetime access does not constitute a perpetual or irrevocable right to service
