How It Works

A small plaque. A whole life. Here is how it fits together.

Step 1 — Order

You order the plaque on this site. €179, one payment, no subscription. You will receive an order confirmation by email within a few minutes.

Each plaque is engraved by hand in Westport and posted across Ireland with An Post — see our Shipping Information page for current dispatch times.

Step 2 — Write the memorial page

When the plaque is on its way, you receive a private link to set up the memorial page. You can do it on a phone in about ten minutes — or you can take your time. There is no deadline.

Most pages include a photograph, the dates that mattered, a short biography (about a paragraph), and three or four memories or stories. You can keep adding to it.

Step 3 — Install the plaque

The plaque arrives in a small box, with the adhesive already applied. Take it to the grave on a dry day. Clean the area on the headstone where it will sit (a damp cloth is fine). Peel the backing. Press the plaque firmly onto the stone for thirty seconds. That is it.

If you would prefer your monumental mason to install it on a visit, the plaque is ready for them to fit. Just hand it over.

Step 4 — Visit, scan, remember

Anyone who visits the grave and scans the code on the plaque with their phone — no app, no log-in — sees the memorial page you wrote. Family. Friends. The grandchildren born after the funeral. People who happen to pass.

They can read it on the spot, save the photographs, or share the link with someone who could not visit.

Step 5 — Keep your own copy

You can ask us at any time, free of charge, for a complete archive of the memorial — every photograph and video at full resolution, every story — as a folder that opens on any computer without an internet connection. We recommend every family keep one. More on how the memorial page works.

That is the whole product. There is nothing else to learn. If you have a question we have not answered, our FAQ is here, or you can write to us — we read every message.
